Transco bombarders are specially designed to process any type of electrode.
The milliamp control of the superchoke using the DC reactor linear control gives the neon proccessor ultimate control from 75ma to 1000 ma and is user friendly. This control is needed to process to the electrode manufacturers specifications. The current control is changed easily by using the variac control and the can easily be changed during all of the proccessing stages and allows for faster production and accurate current control during proccessing.
The high voltage on the bombarder secondary allows for striking the arc on long tubes without having to pull excessive vacuum on the neon tubes. Engaging the neon tubes with too much vacuum will result in premature heating or conversion of the electrodes so the special high voltage on Transco bombarders is designed to prevent this premature electrode processing. The bombarder and choke can be operated on both 50 and 60hz and at 208v, 220v, and 240v inputs or service voltages. There are connection terminals inside the bombarder so the installer can setup the bombarder to whatever voltage is available. |
